A website where people can post honest reviews of their favorite beverages. There are way too many wines and breweries on the market for the consumer to filter. Walking into your local liquor or grocery store and being overwhelmed is par for the course. The concept is for users to post review as they try new beverages, thereby saving people from bad choices and alerting them when they find a great one. Beverages would be sorted by summary and users can sign up for alerts for all of the categories they're interested in.
It would be nice to be able to track traffic commutes to notice trends. The sites that provide traffic information do sometimes offer this. But what I find myself looking for is a way to have my data, for the roads I drive on, and be able to factor in seasonality, weather and events. Maybe I'm just a lone data junkie...
Have users vote whether an outfit or "look" is fashionable ("in") or not ("out"). Users could upload pics through the web or from their mobile phones and the community would decide what looks good and what should never be seen in public.
Offer low fat baked goods such as cookies, muffins, etc... to working professionals in an easy to grab package at their local coffee shops or convenience stores. Goods would be fresh (within 2 days) and snackable throughout the day (3-5 smaller servings).
Recently, while shopping for a wood flatware tray, I noticed that no matter what store I went to the quality was terrible and materials were sub-par. Even at the "high-quality" stores... I've also noticed this trend on the few pieces of furniture. Will there be a market for higher-quality goods? Or, will the current economic worries make everyone care about just the cost?
